No. Beartown Recycling is open to the public, and you do not need an account or an appointment. Just bring your material to the yard during business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Ferrous and non-ferrous, every grade. That covers steel, cast iron, copper, brass, aluminum, aluminum cans, stainless steel, insulated wire, sheet metal, and appliances, plus lead, radiators, electric motors, and transformers. If you have something that is not on the list, call the yard and ask.
Scrap prices move with the market, so we quote them by phone rather than posting a number that goes stale. Call (717) 354-7734 and we will tell you what your material is worth today.
Only if the refrigerant has been professionally removed and the unit is tagged to show it. Without that we cannot accept it. Appliances with no refrigerant in them can come in as they are.
